My first DE map and im fairly proud of it. I named it de_villa because i didnt know what else to call it :P. A very spread out map and not too complicated. There are few minor glitches but not too noticable. Theres also a secret room somehwere by bombsite A*. Contsructive criticism welcome.

BTW, for the hosting website I just googled file hosting and this seemed to be the best one.

Can't rate it on its playability, but I did open it in BSP Viewer, and it looked HUGE. In a bad way. Like you could be wandering around the repetitive areas looking for the last person to kill for about ten minutes. It really needs to be scaled down, there's no reason it should be this big.

If it's one of your first maps though, it's pretty good. No blatant errors that I saw in my short view of it, and you used a lot of interesting angled walls. Also, I liked how you used background scenery as seen in the screenshot, although it would have been nice if this technique had been applied to more areas.

Point well noted, I do agree that some areas are a bit stretched out. Although, some common maps like aztec, torn, and piranesi are just as large or larger than this. Also, It's total hell getting in backround scenery like that, and anyways this map is saposed to be based in the country, but yes , it could be improved. I've found a whole new level of respect for those people who made the original maps , it's almost impossible to acheive that "authentic", real look. Thanks for your comment.

You get better at it. ;)

It's mostly about using custom textures for everything, which those original maps did. It really makes everything "fit" when all your content is tailored for your needs alone.
