Players: 1-4 participants, 0-any spectators
Difficulty: Expert
Works in: Valve and any mod that supports weapon_9mmhandgun

Map and all components are original creations

This map is designed to enhance the player's aim. There are four pistol ranges, each with extensive scripting to ensure a unique experience each time. The map is difficult so as to ensure that anyone of any level will benefit from playing it.

1. Speed - The player must shoot four stationary targets that have been randomly selected. The player must shoot them all within the time limit in order to win. If they do not the targets will begin to reset. If the player hits them all within the time limit a physical readout will display WINNER! and four new random targets will appear. There is also a randomize button below the target board that allows the player to select a new set of random targets at any time. The course has 256 possible target combinations, all of which appear with equal probability.

2. Precision - Two targets move in a chaotic path and the player must shoot them both within three seconds in order to win. If a target is shot a readout will display a countdown until it resets. If the player hits both targets a readout will display WINER! and the course will reset.

3. Reaction - Upon entering a random stationary target will appear and the player must shoot it before it disappears and another appears. Similar to the arcade game Whack A Mole. Hitting a target will display a HIT! message.

4. Accuracy - Five moving targets must all be shot within three seconds or they will begin to reset. Missing any target by hitting the backboard will instantly reset all targets so the player must hit all five without missing. If all five targets are hit within three seconds without missing a WINNER! message is displayed and the course will reset.

General - Each course can only be played by one individual at a time. Blocking the walkway to the course for two seconds will result in being teleported away. The two seconds will reset whenever someone is not blocking the path.

First let me say not only is this the best "shooting range" map i've ever seen, it's by far the most useful! HOw the hell did you do this??

Accuracy:
by far my favourite. I didn't beat the challenged but i got 4/5 a couple times... simply amazing.. =P

Speed:
My second favourite challenge, tho not by much. I'll give everyone a hint you might want to up the scroll speed on your mouse for this one.. Excellent and the "calculating" thing was a nice touch!( does it give you a new pattern each time?

Precision:
Pretty dam cool, and the only challenge i was able to beat.. =)

Reaction:
Impossible for me, i don't think i hit a single target, but super cool nonetheless. maybe giving the shooter a bigger field of view (setting them back a little bit farther) might help? maybe making the targets bigger too would make it more reasonable? =)

Cannot stress enough how impressed i am with this thing, not only the skill/creativity that went into building it, but it has a very high replayablility quotient. the only minus for this is the very ugly flatshaded texturing and dull lighting.

Care to share the rmf or some insight on how you did all these and/or what inspired you to build them, i'm all ears! feel free to respond in here or send me a pm, PLEEZ..

Great work.

I enjoyed this map!
Great warmup before going online with cod or something.
I managed to beat every challenge, except reaction, which I didn't get if it was beatable or not. I managed to hit three in a row, no more no less, it was very hard and took like 100 attempts.

Even tho I managed to beat all of the challenges I think it ought to be a little bit easier, perhaps increase the size of the targets on the reaction, because even if you react on time, chances are that you will miss, which makes it more of an accuracy-practice than a reaction-practice.
Anyways. I thought this was awesome and I'm very curious about how you made this map
5/5 for this awesome idea

Awesome and really enjoyable. I've always made target practices with scientists but this was much more efficient and creative. Only thing I think is strange is that after the player wins one and walks away the win sign dissapears as if to be played again but the pistol is gone and the player can't get it again to play again. Also I don't think its the prettiest map iv'e ever played. And there still could be some ambience even though it is just for practice.
