This is a collection of 4 map made over Spring Break and then some.

Sewers: Took almost 3 days
Computer Laboratory: About 4 days

I hope you enjoy playing these maps as I enjoyed making them. Please submit any bugs, errors, etc.

Thanks.

Oh dear. It's been a long time since I've seen a map pack...I'll have to have a look later when it's not the middle of the night

It's alright. I was the same way.

I had DOOM2, But people made stuff specially for DOOM. :(

Haha, there's always a niche :)

I'm thinking about buying HL1 soon anyway, we'll see.

I'll be honest here- I don't feel these are your best work; I was expecting something much more detailed. But then again, I was expecting a collection of SP maps as well.
The detail level, for DM maps, is at a decent level, considering your skill level and that MP maps are usually layout based as opposed to visual based.

The maps themselves show the kind of gameplay you enjoy in Deathmatch: Tight and fast paced, with only a few players. There are some cool ideas in there, such as breaking boxes to gain weapons. The ramp in the computer map was a nice touch, although I had to crouch to climb it, which would slow players in pursuit of the Tau Cannon down.

All in all, for a beginner's first set of Deathmatch maps, they're okay. But not your best work, and definetly not the best work you'll ever do if you stick at it.

These maps were designed for fast gameplay. Not looks. Gameplay over Graphics they say. But, I did try to make warehouse and biodome interesting. I wanted to take it a step higher with some complicated (easy to you) entity work and vertex manip. But thanks for the feedback.

I do agree that it's retarded that you have to crouch to get on the walkway. I don't know why it makes you do that. Stupid invisible clip-brushes.

Sewers was a shit map that I came up with when I was on the throne so don't expect anything good from that map.

There are many ways you can make your map look good and have good r_speeds and gameplay at the same time. Plus computers thesedays can take almost any hl1 map.

Edit: You have some nice and simple ideas, yet you need to improve your mapping skills further. 3/5 stars for all 4 maps.

I liked what you did with the biodome map but the hallways around it are a little dark imo. Infact there pitch black dark. Was there really only one weapon on the sewer map? What fun would that be? It looked alright but the water needed to be a little clear or something because it looked more like gravy than water. The lab map was pretty cool just pretty repetetive and the ware house map was pretty cool too. Reminded me of my stockhouse map. In maps so small they can handle much more detail but for a burst of a few maps it was pretty cool. Def. glad I checked it out.

The hallways were meant to be black to promote the apocalyptic feeling

You break the crates in the sewer map to get weapons, a shitty idea yeah.

The lab map was a quickie also. It was based off of some really lame TFC map I played once.

The warehouse map was my experiment at Stalkyard. I thought I did a great job on that map. Just remember, if you explore the warehouse, you will be rewarded.

Oh yeah forgot to add, in the sewer map most of the weapons are hidden underwater.
