Honestly, I forget this map entirely and since I don't have Half-Life 1, I can't view it myself. I'll upload it and see what yas think.
It was being hosted by DarkTree, in which case he is now using his site for a portfolio hes working on.
So its abit of a surprise that may suck. lol
In hl1 if you refuse Gman's offer you have to fight tons of aliens so it could have started where you had to escape from them or something. When the alien grunt said you have no idea what is going on I was like, yup.
+/-first room is as spectacular a space i've ever seen in half-life, but a downer that there are intersecting brushes on an entire stretch of molding..
+nice detail throughout
+great interactive destructive effects
++AMAZING cutscenes!
+good use of game_text (LOL at the prompt to level change
-model-in-floor errors as zeeba mentioned(which actually works if you have a night map with a call for fireflies! =)
+nice scripting and special effects!
+great trigger camera work
(how did you get that thin laser in the chamber, is that an env_beam?
++beautiful visuals in the test chamber
+beautiful uplighting in the last chamber/hallway
++awesome/funny "endless hallway" of weapons ala matrix! =)
++fun ending!
Superb stuff, especially considering how old this is. overlooking all the gordon-in-floor errors, no real problems besides that.
EXCELLENT STUFF! PLEASE MAP MORE SIR! =)
When i said "test chamber" i really should have said teleportation chamber.
Everything loaded fine for me using wonHL..
The ending was too good O_o
Also, freeman was always standing >_<
Trough the table, in the ground most of the time lol.
But i loved it, especially the burning city part.
Sadly, I can't seem to find a copy of his other maps, hope they turn up one day. Also wanted to mention that I believe "Horror Map" was his actual final map, since this was a reupload that use to be on Dark Tree Media's site eons ago.
RIP
