I can't run it! It says it can't load the client.dll file.
Did you program it to be playable on the 24th or what am I doing wrong?

I pasted the HLXmas folder in to my half-life folder and restarted steam. I load "The Spirit of HL" and it crashes.

Anyone else have this problem?

thecoolgman: worked fine for me in WON. you're copying the content to the half-life folder NOT valve folder, and running it as a custom game, right? (i didn't even try it in steam yet)

Really cool btw Rim! Your map is reminding me that i nigh added any christmas theme to my map; oh well, there is always next year. =)

Really creative stuff, and a cool idea, hotdog will love it. =)

Rim, I believe the files cg.dll and cgGL.dll (both located in the Half-Life folder) need too be included with SoHL and SoHL-based mods.

Spirit comes with a couple of dlls in a folder called "Additional files you many need" which need to be added to the Half-Life folder.

Worked fine for me but I've been working with Spirit for as long as I can remember so I already had the files.

Well, I played it on Christmas as promised (sorry for the late reply) and it was great!

Had a little trouble loading it because you left the title of the mini-mod as Spirit of Half-Life and because I already had Spirit installed, it didn't appear in my custom games list, but I fixed that by renaming it in the liblist.gam file.

But I really loved it, I was running along, wondering where it was going and then BAM! You hit me with a fantastic surprise. It was really well done!

To play it properly, open liblist.gam in HLXmas folder with Notepad and edit "game" and "startmap" strings.

For example instead of:
game "Spirit of Half-Life"
startmap "c0a0"

Paste this:
game "Merry Christmas to hlife_hotdog"
startmap "happyholidays"

Have fun!
