Okay so I was brainstorming today on what to do for my next map, and I am glad to say I think I've got one! I started working on a map (name not final) but it has to do with a mine. After spending half an hour on a very small section of the mine I'm thinkin that it's going to need a more constructed type area (without everything being a displacement).

I feel like I should have some good news to go along with this, but I'm really just stuck at the moment. :

I never did get my custom sounds to work but I'm tired of waiting for compiles to get done so I'm just leaving them out
Next project? No idea. A friend wants to do a joint mapping project to make our suburbs "down town" section. No idea if I'm going to even try it though because it will be extremly challenging. It would be about 6-8 blocks worth of buildings and I don't know if computers could even handle a map of such scale.

Finally Im not sick anymore! And its my day off too! I made sure to study and do all my homework yesterday so I could sit around all day today! Modeling day today! More models for the SteamCastle map!
Ever study so much that you enter a Zen like state? Happened to me after the 7 hour mark. After you achieve it you like absorb all information directly. Its awsome!11
Progress on "SteamCastle" is actually going very well. Ive drawn out the outline and completed 2 more models. There are still 6 that need to be skinned by Exos though. (Or Mr. Data I think he likes going by that now.) (Were both big Star Trek TNG fans)
I hate typing on laptops. The keys are all squished together and in different locations compared to where my hands are placed on a regular keyboard.
Thats enough of my random journal entry.

OMG!! I finally found the map editor again and started working on my first real map haha. wow, i really suck now 
even worse than before!! It's so exciting starting again, it just makes me feel so...good, i think i'm on crack or something haha. I missed mapping...I missed this site, and all of you guys and girl(s)

i started my new map, thankfully i figured out what was wrong with hammer (big props to muzzelflash, the hunter, Ag3nt-X and all the others for there help) and fixed it so now im back on track! my new map is going to be a concert hall/theater kinda thing and im gonna put a lot more effort in it that i did with cs_castlefight, since i now know my way around hammer a bit better i hope to have it done in about a month or 2

Well, I finally managed to buy a legal copy of CS:S and 1.6, since Steam finally got the idea of accepting my credit card.
