Ha hammer 4 finally added Quick-Hide, Quick-Hide-Unselected, and Restore-hidden buttons, which were so very useful from hammer 3.x:So much easier to hide/and restore stuff without the stupid visgroup window
popping up everytime i need to get something out of view..

It is about time they added this... I'm just noticing it now, but anyone know when the update actually took place?

And why is my mood happy you may ask? it's because if found a fix to a major problem i was having with my nvidia 9800gts gfx card.

My gpu would heat up to over 100?C when playing L4d on the LOWEST settings, regardless of resolution size. My vid card can more than handle the game, but fsr it would jack up immediately to untenable temperature minutes after stargint the game. Then i found an article about Underclocking your video card

Underclocking to these settings(in () are the original clock speeds):

Core Clock - 400 Mhz (600)
Memory Clock - 300Mhz (900)
Shader Clock - 800 Mhz (1500)

Now, i can run L4D at highest settings at a much more acceptable, breezy-cool 72?C with no noticeable decrease in performance!

Everything in my life up to this point has been simply a means to bring me to this day. Behold:ZOMG thanks to Saribous for the hookup!!!

Just played The Specialists for the first time, and my god, i was blown away...

I played with bots for about about an hour in random map (the map with the huge hall with the mirrored floor, and all the glass doors/windows you break to continue from area to area) and my god i had a blast familiarizing myself with the controls and all the powerups. I LOVE all the weapons... SUCH an improvement from the original HL weapons.... (on that note, i think A LOT more people would play HLDM if the weapons look/feel/behaviour were upgraded a little bit.. i HATE the original HL weapons..)

Then, i went to a server and got my ass handed to me as one would expect, but still had a great time playing the "the lobby", perfectly recreated from the The Matrix.

kinda sad to only see a few active servers left for such a great game, but at least there still are some... I'm so sad i didn't start playing this game sooner...

I found a thing called chaos launcher that lets me play StarCraft in a window:I guess this has been around for a while, but i never knew about it.

I have not logged in to twhl or even barely checked my email since like the 22th of october! That makes it like 20 days tho it's seemed like a year since i've been on, which is very odd for me since i LIVE online during my freetime (at least normally).

My absences started mostly due to being sick over and over again, plus work has been hectic. Then, even when things started to slow down and i was feeling better, i think i got used to just not turning my computer on, and just, didn't. As previously mentioned this goes against every fiber of my being, since my primary source of fun is internets =P

Anyway, i apologize to everyone for the delay in finishing rooms. There isn't really much left to do... Working on it right. now.

bought a new mouse and it has changed my life.

tracks 50% better than my old mouse--old version of the same led mouse--, and it's pretty to look at, especially when i go to sleep.. (aww)

anyway, as far as corded mice go, i give it a very high recommendation, carry on.

I play all my fps at full brightness/gamma. I just realized if i'm optimizing my maps for that whilst most people play half-life at the default settings, then my maps are going to look much darker than intended! (also same thing when i play other people's maps, cept they'll be brighter than the author intended!) ZOMG

)
