Wow that was a weard way to wake up yesterday, I woke up from a dreem that was a hallway/stairs. I saw every angle like you would in a map editer, but what made it even more trippy I some what though of every way that I would map this. Im not sure what engin I was mapping for but it involved arched areas under an upper bacony with stairs goin up along one side. And just to make it all a little better I think I was dreaming this for quite a wile sence I still can vivdly see all of it in my head.

Im realy tired right now, but I just made it, but its not done. Man I kinda wish I could do this for other things, but man I wouldnt be able to get up with out mapping for half an hour before I could do any thing each day.

Right, fixed my problemo so no more using Mephs here. I currently have my eye on the account "Sean", a sweet little 13th May 2004, one previous owner and only one login ever on the clock! Wonder if I could trade in on it. (I know nick swapping is retarded, sorry people.) :(

Some news
  • Still making the example map for my tutorial. It's been a slow process I can tell you that...
  • This Friday is the State Finals for the Shakespeare Festival. Just in case anyone reads this, I'll explain it all.
The Shakespeare Festival is a competition open to all schools in Australia. It involves creating an original composition with some link to Shakespeare's work. Some of the categories include:

*Song
*Dance
*Original Act

My school entered two of these categories: Original Act and the Song. I'm am involved in the song in which we were to create an original composition inspired by one of Shakespeare's plays. Our little band chose Macbeth. We had the Regional Finals and we made that, so its the State Finals now (pull out a map of Australia and look for New South Wales ;) ). In case you're interested, the Original Act guys made it too (we are an all boys school :( ).

Anywho, we need a band name! Go to www.ant292.cjb.net (don't worry, it's safe), check out the Music forums and choose/submit a band name! Join the forums if you want. You wont find any Half-Life stuff though.

*Hmmm, what else? School goes ahead, getting very busy though. I hope I have enough time to map for the contest (whenever that is).

*Oh btw, I'm one of the new mods for the TWHL IRC Channel in case anyone was still confused.

So that's it. If anyone has read this, well, get a life! What are doing reading other people's journals??? :P

You know one thing that make mapping fun, is that you can always learn something new to do. Like you can learn how make diffrent kinds of maps, make diffrent kinds of arcitecure, make diffrent kinds of lighting.

But also depending on your experiences you can also find something new on how to make simple things. Yet unless you obsessed with learning every entity type you cant always know what to do with them all. Thus help sites are alwasy good :D

Currently working on a new mod called Rocket Destruction. Its nothin big, just a little project. Right now the second part is in problem maps because I cant get the scripted sequences to work and I don't have any idea why. Maybe I added too many things to one multi-manager :

**Update -- Due to scripting problems -which i got no help on this has been shutdown. 07/28/04**
