Scrub Studios is proud to present its first attempt at a looping walking animation!

Some notes:

1. This is a 300kb or so .MOV file, playable in QuickTime for OS X and QuickTime Alternative for XP.
2. It comprises of 41 frames running at real-time (24fps). It's designed as a looping animation, so please switch on loop on your player of choice before viewing.
2. Only one leg has been animated so far.
3. This forms the 'base' animation. From here, further work will be done inside a graph editor, which allows for complete customisation over every aspect of the animation.

After both legs have been animated, I'm going to double the frames and run a camera through it.

This will be transferred to my website when I get the chance.

UPDATE: Hello, update!

You can dance, you can jive
Having the time of your life, ooo
See that girl, watch that scene
Diggin' the Dancing Queen

I don't care how gay it makes me, this song is darn catchy!

They will see us waving from such great heights
Come down now, they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away
Come down now, but we'll stay

Following in the footsteps of John Lasseter, I've decided to brand all my design and level design work under my own company. Scrub Studios comes from the word scrub, which is a term used when you spool through something frame by frame. For example, when you scrub through a film, you're going through it frame by frame at your own pace.

It's also because I love Scrubs.

Site'll be up again properly sometime soon, with all new content.

Oh, and that logo is my own Illustrator work (my first actually, Illustrator is so cool), not a normal typeface (well, the Studios bit is a normal typeface).

Laptop ain't back yet (should be ready next week sometime), but all the stuff I wanted to get done on it is getting done (and at no charge), so kudos to that lovely AppleCentre.

Just for giggles: getting a new logic board (it's what Apple calls their motherboards), a new LCD panel, and a new topcase (the surface that houses the keyboard and trackpad).

Ok, just a heads up: I'll probably be offline for a bit while my MacBook goes in for service. No idea how long it's gonna take (I'm asking for a fair bit to be done on it) but in the meantime, the only computer I'll have is my old desktop, and there's no way I'm booting that behemoth up.

This has been a public service announcement for anyone who cares!
