Whoa, i forgot about this place. I love source, could someone tell me why its inferior to the original HL engine? I'm not sure if i have this right, but appearently people actually prefer the modified quake engine over source... 
you go sit over there, i'm going to go make something big and detailed, with HDR and physics and bumpy landscape that only took me three minutes to make. Have fun with you invalid solid objects, outdated graphics, and expressionless character models. I'm mapping with source.
Anyway my first source map should be done soon, its basically just shooting crap and... crap. Not that great, but i'm trying to keep in mind that 1) this is my first source map and 2) this is the first map that i will have ever finished, so no worries.
P.S. Despite my HL2/HL1 mapping rant i will say that HL1's AI was better.
