So yet again I've been asked if I want to come to a game event and this time it's for L4D 2. Now some know that I'm actually not that interested in L4D 2 because I feel the price tag is too high however that does not mean I'll destroy the only connection I have to the industry.

Last time I met some dev's and so on and it was great fun so this time we get to shoot guns and learn about camo etc with real army chiefs before playing the game. You know how marketing is.

I'll take a camera this time because they want more coverage. It's happening this week wednesday in London.

I'll edit this on Thursday @_@ Then on Friday I'll be at Eurogamer. Gonna play some sweet games and listen to some DEV lectures.

I'd be very surprised if they did. Hell I'd have to keep it. I may not be thrilled but that's only because of the price tag attached to it.

I only gave away Battlefield to that stranger because it was for PS3 and it was the kids birthday. He probably thought I was a modern day Santa.

I doubt I'll purchase L4D 2 either, perhaps when it drops to 30, but for 50 just a year after L4D 1? What are we Valve, Madden? So much for the TF2 level of support they promised.

They're only taking a break. TF2 and Ep3 will get their people back, plus half of the L4D team each, I expect.

You're missing my point, Valve promised to give Left 4 Dead 1 the amount of DLC and updates they gave TF2, instead they just released L4D2 at a nice fat ass price of 50 bucks.

They under estimated the content they wanted to add, and what they did add, is almost if not more than 2x the original content they had. I have my OXM article sitting in front of me. If you payed $50-60 for the first L4D and got X amount of content, why wouldn't you pay $50-60 for a sequel with X x2 amount of content? I didn't see ANYONE complain about HL2:Ep1 or 2. The content added was minor, particularly in EP1, compared to this. They could take ALL the original content OUT albeit the gameplay itself, and still have enough content to have made this game playable and fun (provided we never had a L4D before this, no one would know the difference). Not to mention, for xbox users, microsofts charge, plus the massive size of content, wouldn't have been worth it. I don't think they could legally release that much content anyway, Apple couldn't legally release iPod/iPhone software update 3.0 without charging for it even.

Tl;dr: Stop complaining because Valve actually decided to release a massive amount of content in a short amount of time for your enjoyment, without having your facts straight.

I'm not at all saying Left 4 Dead 2 should be in left 4 dead 1, thats a foolish request. What I do request is that they actually give us a few campaigns and weapons/enemies before they started Left 4 Dead 2.

I agree and to be fair, Half Life episodes had story, that's all I care about in those games.

(Yes L4D 2 has story but it doesn't interest me.)
