Tetsu0 Tetsu0Positive Chaos
My band just recorded 2 new tracks through our first record label.

www.myspace.com/positivechaos

The new ones are:

"Saturday Night"
and
"Neural Shutdown"

Let me know what you guys think. These tracks are just demos of the mixes. They're not mastered and the individual raw data tracks are on an external HD. So we can change anything we want at anytime!!! (For dirt cheap too hehe)

I enjoyed listening to them both.
I liked Neural Shutdown the most, the other one kinda reminded me of something I've heard before, which is and isn't a good thing. It sounded good but not that original.
Still this is really good stuff.
Your singer is awesome
You play lead right? Nice solo on saturday night. I always enjoy a good solo.

the drumming seems really clumsy in Saturday Night.

Neural Shutdown is really good, although at some points after a build it seems almost disappointingly empty. Perhaps record the vocalist singing the harmony as well and layer that in.
Although that could be bias since 2 of my favourite bands use this 1-vocalist-2-voices technique

you guys remind me of a local band i herd this summer called Thrown to the Wolves, tho their vocalist is more over-the-top kinda like the lead from Queensryche.

Really good stuff musically and vocally.. your lead singer is sounds really good and so does the guitar. (i don't really have an ear for drums and bass).

I liked the second song better but neural shutdown is really good to, it just seems kinda plain(like there is a whole track missing for a lot of the song), and i agree the chorus should be more over-the-top like he should be screaming it, or singing it differently?

In Neural Shutdown, our bassist screams 2 lines in the Chorus.
It's hard to hear because the levels aren't perfect yet.
I'm glad you guys are being honest and catching the faults and weaknesses in the songs, it'll allow us, as a band, to fix these things and make em all better.

We were thinking about throwing distortion into Neural Shutdown's chorus. That could beef up the sound and give it more of a 'climax', if you will.
Also the screaming will be improved, and we'll take the sound levels up a bit.

Thanks fellas, i appreciate it.
