It's fixed. Thank god. DLC works, game works, and I'm back to kicking arse in the capital wasteland.

That's it. I can't do a thing to fix this without xlive.dll. The patch itself won't work with Vanilla Fallout 3 unless there's xlive.dll, the DLC won't work unless there's xlive.dll, and there's NO BLOODY XLIVE.DLL IN EITHER OF THE GOTY DISKS!
Someone, please PM me with a copy of xlive.dll from the latest version (1.7) of Fallout 3, and tell me where to put it. I've tried everything else I can think of, all the suggestions I've been given, and google doesn't yield anything but 'update the game'
This pisses me off. Please, someone get me that dll.

Btw now that were talking about fallout, what do you guys think of new vegas?
New vegas? I haven't really seen enough to have an opinion.
EDIT: I am now downloading games for windows live. Which I didn't have before, since steam is better, I don't have internet on my PC, and I wouldn't want to play with Xbox live users anyway. (And how does multiplayer work for a SP RPG?)
If that doesn't work, then...
I don't know what I'll do. Probably something violent towards my computer.

Also, Game Informer Issue 206 has a whole article on their demo of New Vegas. Pick up a copy just for that if you have to, they probably have some at GameStop. Good read, looking forward to New Vegas myself.
