EDIT: Looks like it sorted itself out. Thanks to all who gave advice.

Well, shit.
It looks like New Vegas has actually killed my computer. So, it crashed, looped the computer like Fallout 3 keeps doing when I'm in tranquility lane. No big deal, right? Just kill the power and reboot. Well, that didn't work too well, because it would just start up in the same state, never getting to bios. So, I left it alone for the night, hoping it would be better this morning. And it was. For a minute. I was listening to music, to try and make sure it wasn't going to crash before I started playing, and as the song was nearing the end, guess what? It blue-screened. Reboot, go the to C:\ drive to locate the files the error report was going to reference, because god forbid Microsoft design it so users can read the actual error reports they're sending out from the error reporting window, and as soon as I clicked on the drive, it crashed.
I reboot, as soon as windows starts up, it bluescreens.
Finally, it froze on bios.
Any ideas? Because I don't know what's causing this, and I doubt I can afford to replace it if it can't be fixed.

Oh yeah, and the current version of Colony 42 is on that computer, too. Crap.

If it kills your power and then reboots, its a video card / ram problem. Download and install the latest drivers, and try playing the game on minimal. This used to happen to me due to my pc videocard over heating, if the above don't help then let your pc cooldown for a while before playing the game for hours and hours, also the exact same thing used to happen to me when there was a conflict between the two ram cards I had inserted into my pc, I had a 1gb one, and the default pcs one in another slot that had 256k. With both of them in, my pc used to crash, but with only the 1gb card inserted, it didn't. (I later added another 1gb card to make 2gbs so it defo was the 256k's fault.)

As for the whole pc being fucked up, that's your fault. You shouldn't have kept playing it and damaging your pc any further.

Does it make any sounds? Beeping?
If not, check if everything is correctly inserted into its socket. If what skals said is true, I mean if your video card is overheating(or the CPU), that may be your problem. If not, your power supply is.

ahh, reminds me of back when my computer was playing starcraft 1, and then suddenly, it exploded. Smoke had risen from it and the screen shuts off completely. Welcome to the club.

The thing is, my video card does run hot, but that problem shouldn't persist the morning afterwords when it's been sitting there cool all night. And when I notice it's getting overly hot, I stop using it.
Anyway, it's sorted itself out now, so no permanent harm done. Thanks to everyone!

I'd do that, but then I'd risk dust getting everywhere and getting cut in the fan.
