“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. -- Samuel Beckett”
I was putting Scott to bed the other day for his afternoon nap.
He asked, "Dad, can you make more Portal 2 maps when I'm sleeping so I can play with it when I wake up?"
"Of course," I replied. And that's exactly what I did.
That's my boy!

Less than that; within the couple of hours of naptime!
A more than impressive feat of both mapping and parenting.

In fact, I did just that this afternoon.
I introduced him to Hammer, and taught him the four views in Hammer. He learned how to select a brush and move it around in the world.
He's got to be one of the youngest mappers in the world. He turned four this week.

He learned the four views and learnt to move brushes? He has made a better map than my first already.
