Als het goed is staan er als je op F9 drukt 4 menutjes, bij deze kun je compilatie opties selecteren. je moet VIS en RAD aanzetten op FULL of FAST om licht te hebben. Anders maken de compilatie tools geen licht!

De Half-Life wereld bestaat uit 2 onderdelen, de speelbare map, waarin je rondloopt, en de void. Het niks zeg maar. verglijk het als de aarde waar wij op rondlopen en de ruimte als het niks.
Als je een leak krijgt betekent het dat de speelbare wereld overgaat in de void zonder dat er iets tussen zit. Oftewel er zit een gat in de map naar de void.
