o sweet i dont think ill use it on my current map since its just a fy_iceworld cept bigger and with more cool things like houses and camras so you can have a peek at what the enemy is up to :) (this is going to sound pathetic but i dont know how to convert it to a zip file so i cant upload. if anyone wants to help...lol)

sry bout that i deleted my first atempt and made a new one and in this atempt you can see the skybox so forget that part. there light entitys not light_environment entitys what are the light_environment entiys? what do they do
(my maps fullbright)

thats a pic of looking at the red lights now meber im no great mapper and plus the maps not done. i looked in the compile log everything was fine and i also looked in the consol to see if anything was wrond but it was all fine. waht happened?

i put up two "light" entitys colored red in a bunker for my map but when i compiled and ran it the whole map went crazy and then pich black i cant see anything cept my two red lights and the skybox went away. what happened and dose anyone know how to fix this??

(something else, my gun was black too and when i shot it near a wall it would light up the wall to normal but when the muzzel flash dissapierd so did the part of my wall that light up before)

im making my third map on CSS. well the first im actually planing on finishing. anyways my problem is my terrorist spawnpoints i have 16 info_player_terrorist entitys placed where i want them to spawn but when i save and run my map to test it it wont let me spawn as a terrorist and when i look in consol it says

32 player server started
couldn't exec listenserver.cfg
Invalid terrorist spawnpoint at (2048.0,-4.0,-4.0)
(16 times)

i was wondering if anyone could offer sugestions i have tryed geting rid of the buyzone around them but that didnt work i tryed moving themthat didnt work and now im lost.

well if you didnt alredy figure it out theres an easyer way to make each sile of a brush a differnt texture. you can right click on the block you made in one of the 2d veiws then select ungroup it splits the block up into individual walls that now make up what was your brush. not you can texture each side and if you want right click a side and select regroupe witch brings them all back together. (hoped it helped)

here i have a question on how i could make an invisable room that you can also walk through but once inside you cant be seen. i was going to make a secret room on the top of my map so that you jump in the air in a certain place and you climb up the ladder to a room with awps in it. i was wondering how someone would go around doing that and remeber you can see through the wall but you can walk through them.

ok now i have a problem yes i am a noob at building maps i just read this and tryed it out i tied the brush to func_buyzone it worked fine and all but when i played it in cs:s i looked up and the block that i had made my buyzone had dissapered (my buyzone is hovering in the air) you walk up planks to get to it. any suggestions? or should i have 2 blocks one taht you step up to like steps the first step is the floor and the second is the buy zone? PLZ HELP
