im making a map... i want a scientist just to sit idle in my map. i want it to use c1a4_wounded_idle sequence.... well i tried using an aiscriptec_sequence and it didnt work... is there any other way to do this, or have i used the script incorectly?
Theres a severe stucking problem in all of my maps. im making it a cliff type map, every time the player touches a cliff thats vertexed he gets stuck (so im making invisible brushes infront of the cliff faces). can you fix that somehow.
You could have anew impossible mod where mobs are everywhere... and then make a contest on who can finish it all. (without cheats) But otherwhise, theres no point in playing the same boring half-life with only a few fixes and stuff.
and besides, why remake it anyway. make a new mod with new stuff and places to explore.
Upon the players death, is it possible to turn on fade somehow. like when the player dies, it all becomes dark, untill u click any button and then it quick loads.
Ok. Now i've been mapping for a mod lately, and i want to make an intro sceen.
Some thing like This: When the map starts, i wish the screen to be blank (all black) at first, Then The Game_Text's will show up, and tell u all the story line and stuff. right.
Now what i dont know, is how to make the screen blank at the begining. i've seen this been done in mod's before, but i dont know how. Help please.
I think the problem here is that, when you select a map thats from a different mod than hl, the "Hl Launcher" still launches the normal hl instead of the mod, and because of that it can't load the map, which is in a different directory.
Found a bug. I just made two good maps, they have a trigger_change level and landmarks in both of them set correctly. When i step into the trigger, it doesnt switch the map, but instead quits the game. + Gives No Errors.
1. Potatis is right. go in your texture browse type "sky" and you will see all the aviable skys, including the hl2 ones...
2. The trees will look that way if you have no light in your map, or atleast in the radius of them. simply make a spotlight near em or something.
3. a moon um... you dont really need to brush that, it can already be in some sky's. but if you have to, maybe find some model.
4. your trap door might be made incorrectly. check that your outputs and names are correct and linked to the right ones. If it still goes wrong, find a tutorial on this.
