I guess I thought everyone would know it's on a space station.
I'm thinking something like a game store or some such.

Well, I doubt that a high-tech space station would have Asbestos in it, but thanks.
This contest will be open until sometime tommorrow, because I want to compile.
Tetsu0, I may have a use for that in my next mod. I'm just gonna put that somewhere will I can find it later, with a readme. Sound good?

Colony 42 Texture Contest!
Make a sign texture for a small shop, and it could be put in-game.
Texture must be divisible by 16, and usable in HL1. Just post the image in this thread if you're interested. The author/s of the winning two entries will be credited in the readme.

...Why are you using the LAW and the RPG?
You could just use the LAW as the RPG and save coding AND file space.
Also, if in the final release, a weapon from HL is not used, remove the models for it and let HL use the default ones. Only cheaters will notice. :)
A single weapon for every function. Pistol, 357, AR, Shotgun, melee, Sniper, Heavy weapon (gluon in HL, SAW in Op4), grenades, ect.
You don't need 5 heavy weapons, 2 RPG's and 18000 pistols. (I know, exageration on the pistols)

If you're using Spirit, there's env_model. Otherwise, you might be able to use a null brush for the origin. The player should'nt notice if he can walk through a small can on the ground.

It's also what I'm using.

EDIT: I just hit a snag that may be fatal.
It seems that the first map, s0a0, will no longer compile properly.
Every time I try, it crashes HL when I go to test it. I can't exactly rename it, because two other maps reference it in landmarks.
As soon as my internet stops being difficult, I'll upload the source files with a cut-down version of the wadfile. I think I may have to reboot my internet before that happens, though.

I can't test it because I have dial-up, and the filesize is too big, but do make sure you delete the save files and HL content in the mod folder for the final release. It wouldn't hurt to wadinclude your custom textures and not have them in the final release, either.
I like the story, and how you let people know that it's not meant to be canon right of the bat. A lot of mods don't do that, and seem to be trying to re-write the HL canon.
Also, the latest pictures on the MODDB page look really good. Keep up the good work.

As long as you don't get caught by the librarian who thinks that pages full of text are a game, that is. And yet other people get away with watching violent youtube videos and pr0n.
What exactly did you get caught doing?
Either uploading it, or

Perhaps Bolt is the unscoped crossbow, It is an instant hit and explodes, so it's not normal SP crossbow dammage.

Just because the maps are unfinished doesnt mean the mod has to be unfinished.
But the whole point is that the maps are disposed, unfinished maps, never completed.

Tons of stuff.
A particle system,
a 'movewith' a feature that lets you move an entity with another
(think func_breakable moving with a crane)
You can tell hammer whether an NPC will be friendly or hostile to the player, so you can have scientists afraid of the player, or assasins that don't shoot him.
You can tell the engine what model to use for an NPC, so you can have more than one type of barney in your map.
Speaking of barney, you can give him a 357, model not included.
There's a lot of stuff you can do, I've just scratched the surface, but these are the ones I've been using most, they're simple to do, and very useful.

1.5a1.
It's the latest official version that doesn't have ugly sparks over NPCs when they think.
Also, 1.8 has no source.
1.5a1 is the sprit version of choice for most modern spirit mods.
