My friend just bought a 512 card. He gets 200 FPS on HL2 on high without HDR.

I average 30 - 40 FPS on HL2 / all source games, and about 70 (it maxes out at exactly 70, might be a card setting) on 1.6 games.

Are you compiling it with the right wads that are used in your map? Are you missing an wads when compiling? Are all of the wads in the proper folder?
