I'm making a mod, and as the first level, the intro, I want the player to ride a truck until it stops and the level changes. I have the truck setup, it's a func_train and I've given it the preferred properties. When I play the map, the truck starts to drive. But when it's comes to a place, a bit from it's ending path_corner it "stops". Not the train itself, but the textures it seems.

I know, it's weird. The player carries on driving to the last stop, but the truck itself remains where the textures were left, or whatever. So the train is basically invisible with an exception of a "ghost-truck" left behind. I have no idea why it's like this...

I can upload the map so you can look at it if you want/need to.

(sorry, I know it's confusing, but I couldn't express myself any other way >:/ )

When ever I compile my map and run it HL comes up with a message saying hl needs to close, and something about my convenience, what the hell is the problem.

Works now it was the .FGD. I just put in an old one and it suddenly worked again :). And I agree with Vassy-that HEV suit music is cool :cool:

i.e. PC freezes up? Does it not do the same without anything being textured 'sky'? Try leaving the "sky name" field blank, it'll default to the rocky day one. Nice pic: didn't know there were forward-swept wings around yet :

there is an entity, something like info_player_weaponequip, that allows knives only. I've used it many times, quite a while ago. 100% positive. Got the "Advanced" FGD?

Good News!!! I just found a map where you start with only a desert eagle and a knife. All original weapons are removed from the start and you get those instead. So there's got to be some way to do it.

The new .fgd has both target_audio and trigger_audio, there hasn't been any replacement....
If you don't have them, then get a new copy. No idea about the CD problems.
