Pfft, this guy cannot be serious. A, pretty much, unknown member of TWHL, asking for money to pay for a CS:S server, of all things, who then goes on to insult better known and respected members of the site?

I rest my case.

It's a graphics card problem. I have the same thing (running a GeForce 4 at the moment). Your only choices are to purchase a better card (Radeon 9800 Pro ought to do the trick ;) ) or wait for VALVe, or your GFX card manufacturer to release a patch.
Imo, choose option one, like I'm doing. :)

Alex: You could always partition, or grab a new HD and put a distribution of Linux on it. Dual boot.
Rileymo: I tried out Knoppix on the weekend, and shock horror was pleasantly surprised at its speed. Knoppix also has a VERY user friendly interface.
I'm going to get a small HD and put Knoppix on it. Best of both worlds.

Yeah, a screenie would help. TWHL's always been fine for me. I suppose you could whack the F5 button heaps of times. :P

IEMC: You're burning my retinas at the moment with this supposed theory that IE actually works. I bet you think it works fine, but in reality, it doesn't work at all. You've just got used to seeing crap pages that you got used to it.

Seriously, do yourself a bloody favour and check out Opera and FireFox and let IE burn in hell.
