thx for that

However when trying to get my props in place (i.e the buildings and stuff). They are massive - if I have to decompile it to resize it though, would this then be classed as a custom model and have to be downloaded with the map or will it just act like a scaled prop?

OK

I've put a skybox around my map and deleted some of the walls now. The sky looks great, but in reality the map doesn't just end at the sides and then there is sky.

1) What I am after knowing is how is it possible to put those perspective textures on brushes where it looks as though your in a garden but the houses carry on and on into the distance....? Or another example would be a chicken wire fence is the map boundary but when you look through it the floor stops and you can only see sky - but in reality you should be able to see everything that lights up the horizon. Sorry if I haven't explained this well.

2) Also, my map has become brighter since I put a skybox around it but it's still not bright enough really. Will I need to go and add separate light entites where it needs a boost or can i add a 'SUN' entity in someway?

Thanks for any help offered

I am only using basic lighting ATM to get the shell of my map up and running, but will the textures automatically be bummapped when a light hits them? Or do I need to configure something else to enable this?

OK

New to mapping and I have a problem and what I think is the solution, however I don't want to get into bad habits and this could be wrong, so can someone advise please?

I have my main room, and I have a fluorescent light on the ceiling, this works fine when playing the game, however when spectating the whole floor is black.......now I think if I put a light entity on the floor giving the impression of a reflection from the light above it might work, but don't know if this is the right way to go about it :-)

OK

So with the help of afew friendly peeps on here I got my first room exactly how I want it, the next room leads out into a garden and I'm wondering how you texture it, obviously it has to be a full box otherwise it leaks.

Do I just create an empty box, fill in my detail and then apply a skybox or cloud texture to the surrounding areas?

Thanks

thank you very much

Next, I want to insert a pre-fab but from the drop down list, usuable objects are not in there. I want to use the pre-created stuff like the filing cabinets in cs_office and stuff but can't find them, any ideas in that one?

Firstly, my entities are in my room right? Now when I use the select arrow, I can only select the whole room - I want to select my entities because I need to move them.

Thx
