yes! my friend told me to use hammer and even gave me the files for it. didnt know there was all the tools in sdk.

i am so sorry people. i feel so embarest...

but got my map workin now in source sdk.

what is so special about those tools, there is hammer, mreate a mod and that is it. i was told that you should use hammer with zhlt. both games run on source right? so do i not edit the games in the source editor?

ok so i did that and in the consol it said it is not a vail bsp file ? :aghast:

ok so i changed them and it works :D kinda...

i compiled it and it made the bsp i put it into the cs maps folder ran cs went to play, select it from the list click ok and nothing happens.. ??? :'(

and btw what causes these kindo f error is it bad mapping technecs (eg. me = poo at this) or just bad software.

ok so i just did my first map following the procedure in the first tutorial. big cube with a few lights and a start point. when i try to run the compiler i get this error...
