in I played Zelda Wii and... Post #210920
I can see lots of potential in the Wii, only to be soured by ended games targeted for 10 and under demographic. Nintendo made plenty of money from the Gamecube selling to their core audience - kids. It feeds on itself, i'm dissapointed HL2 Black/Orange isn't coming to the Wii. There were plenty of gems like , but the console went downhill fast after 2005.

It's an ugly game. Jaggies were everywhere. Ironically, the Wii works best with very large TVs as you need to stand at least 5 feet away or else the pointing function is borked. It was fun as shit though. I'm buying the Gamecube version. Nintendo knew how to price the Wii - after the Xbox 360 and PS3 pricing came out, they had some flexibility. $250 is just slightly above what most consumer's ideal price yet far lower than the other two consoles.

I'll get the Wii if and when the games are compelling. Screw the Xbox 360 and PS3 - too expensive. I like the games on the 360, but $60 a game? In the words of chocolate milk kid, "that's bullshit!" I made the mistake of buying a Gamecube :aghast: Mario Sunshine is still the best seller even thought it was released in 2002. Even sadder is the fact that it gets over-taken briefly when That's So Raven 2 or Over The Hedge release cash-in games. Then mario Sunshine retakes #1 after a while until the next kiddie game comes out lol.

You'd have to have your own webspace then, like a tripod page or something. It's jsut easier to use imageshack or photobucket.

  • Scuba guy looks high
  • Beret guy looks good
  • Cigar guy has one hell of a mullet. If you use these you might want to fix the hair (parallel relative to top of head)
  • The masked shotgun guy looks too HL.
P.S. Some people went beserk over the 1337 model for CS. We were suppose to expect riots and the start of WW3 (/cue CNN news clips of armed idiots prancing around in Dakalakastan). Nothing happened.

  • PC gaming is too expensive. You need to spend at least 1,500 USD to play games on full settings. This will change soon as the price of consoles has creeped up since the PSP. I thought 250 USD was a lot back in 200, but now games are 50+ USD and the console is 600 USD. I could buy a computer for email and documents at the price of a certain overpriced console.
-The only real genres are RPGs, shooters, a few racing & sports titles.

-Keyboards fail at comfort but you need them for the endless buttons.

-Free online is awesome, screw paying 50 USD a year.

Penguinboy, of course I made sense :P

The PS3 is way too expensive. I don't care if it can play Gamma-Ray discs, put out 1080p60, or allow me to find out Solid Snake was concieived during a gay orgy in the 80s. It's too expensive for a gaming console.

The Wii will have like 5 awesome games (Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Baseball) and then all other games will be utter crap (That's So Raven 2, Kim Possible blah blah, far cry, latest pixar movie come game).

The Xbox 360 is part of next gen price gouging, with a $400 console and $60 games. But I can see it being fun for some time to come. That's why i'm getting a Xbox 360.

P.S. The Sims sucks because it's about guiding your character to a toilet all day. On top of that, they can't even cook, they burn alive if you make them try to grill something to eat.

The PS3 is simply too expensive. I'd go with an Xbox as the Wii has Mario, and then shitloads of bad games. I made the mistake of owning a Gamecube.

Find a water textures (there's tons of them in halflife.wad). Create a brush or brushes to cover the area you want to be water. Select the brush(es) and make thew whole thing a func_water. If you go into the properties of the func_water, you can change things like wave height.

That's water the player can swim and drown in, also it has waves. Hop this helped.
