Just curious, that means only the .wad file, right? No Skybox textures?

Thanks! Is the res file needed for custom skyboxes, and/ or custom wads?

Edit: Ah, apparently it is.

Also, even if a map has a .res file, isn't a still a good idea to BSPZip all the resources into the maps BSP?

I just need to know this stuff for when the time comes.

Hey, you know the text that's displayed when you connect to a server that says who made the map and stuff, the setting, and people who contributed etc. Well, how do you make them show up when you connect? I looked in the entity glossary, and the stuff for displaying messages only seems to be for displaying stuff in game. Can anyone help me out? It would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, the map's layout is nearly done, just a few paths here and there, and it should be finished.(The Layout, I mean)

(sorry for the double post, for some reason I can't edit my posts)

Well, since I can't seem to edit my posts for some reason, here's a linkwith an overhead shot in Hammer. The big flat block you see with two shipping crates (one red and one blue), is the in-progress bomb site B. It is underground, and inspired by this from during the making of dust. The Terrorist spawn will be built right above it (but they don't have an entrance right next to them). The Stairs in Bomb site A will probably lead to a road or two connecting the middle underpass to a road connecting the T spawn with Bomb site A. The other end off the big hallway with the arches at Bomb site A will have a staircase leading to the middle of the underpass, and then, on the opposite wall in the underpass, there will be another staircase, that will lead down to Bomb Site B. I still don't know how I will make another entrance to Bomb site B though.

I don't really in a buildable state yet, but right now (the shots are in Hammer), some of the spaces are medium sized when it comes to how long they are, but are not that wide- some barely allow 5 -8 people lined up side to side. As for the entire map itself, well, the T spawn and Bomb site B have not been made yet...

Anyway, here are some links to some pictures. This is still a BIG WIP, and that's why there are so many mismatched textures- I am trying to find the right textures... but it's really hard. I wish I had a texture artist collaborating with me...

Anyway... pictures:

and

Here

The area you see in here is just bomb site A. The walls of the entire level need touching up though. It looks like a big box. I wish the GoldSrc engine had fog, because a light touch of it here and there might help.

Hey guys, de_coldcase is my first CS 1.6 map. From Snarkpit:
"de_coldcase takes place in a snowy market town. Think somewhat of a mix of cobble and Dust2, then add snow."

I have pictures of it in Hammer, I just don't know how to make thumbnails, and don't want to stretch the page. So if someone could tell me how to make thumbnails, I could show you guys some pictures. :)
