Thanks to those that helped, I've got it working.

I think once I can get all my files set up the correct way, I will have fewer major problems. The current problem is my current fatal error.

** Executing...
** Command: C:PROGRA~1ValveSteamSTEAMA~1T23MAC~1.COMHALF-L~1hl.exe
** Parameters: +map "map2"

Says: "could not find file system dll to load"

Now I have another error.
** Executing...

Says it can not file system dll to load

Would like to state, "Thanks" to everyone that has helped me so far. I very much needed that information. Thanks very much. Please do not let me bother you with to many questions. If you do not wish to help me with this, just dont respond.

Anyhow, I'm stuck again. I have extracted the correct files and have Hammer, fgd file for DOD, and gcfscape downloaded. In setting up the Hammer settings, I could not find the info_player_start file. So I used the info_player_allies file instead. So then I was going to go through the 6 tutorials for basic map building. Not sure if that is my problem, but the first tutorial is not working. I am getting an error:

The command failed. Windows reported the error:
"The system cannot find the file specified."

So I am unsure of what to do now. I have been messing around with it, but not sure if I have mislisted some files or what. Can someone help? Like I said, don't respond if you have other things you would rather do. Thanks for your time and your other help!

I even used my search on my computer to find these files:

halflife.wad
decals.wad
liquids.wad
xeno.wad

Cant find them any where! My mods are going through the steam directory, but I can not find them anywhere! Some help please!
