they were forward slashes to begin with that is an error in my post soz about that but I have just gotten it to work i just removed the cstrike and the path now reads /sprites/lghtning.spr only problem now is ive gotta get it to go between the two targets like in the example im looking at...(just for reference the example doesnt work either) but the screenie looke real cool

Hi im somewhat new to mapping for Cs but I am having a problem that I really dont know how to fix. First off I did use the search option at the top and looked for 'sprites' 'sprite' but found nothing pertaining to my question. Second so you know what im trying to do exactly is I am making a level after stargate one of my fav shows and am working on the gate istelf, I saw someone use the Env_bean thing to make the wavy stuff inside of a ring and thought that would be cool so I trie to copy it by first adding the env_beam and setting up everything like they did only using a different sprite in the sprite name field i searched for the lghtning sprite and clicked it so the field read something like cstrikespriteslghtning.spr but when I compiled it it strats up cs and then right before launching comes up with a dialog box saying something to the effect of "ModNumName: file not found lghtning.spr" Whats wrong?

Ps: I also read the sprites turorial but still cant seem to fix the problem

There is no fgd for OpFrc that im aware of...no fgd for it in Valves fgd folder either....thats why I was wondering why there are some OpFrc weapons in the half life fgd (I think the satchel wasnt in halflife)...Do you perhpas knopw of any sites where new fgd files are?

HI im completly new to making 3d maps for halfilfe, however, Im not a complete idiot..i think, anyways my question here is, How do u make maps for opposing force.. what I really mean is how do you add the weapons from OpFrc into a map, Im using Valve hammer but am currently runnin it under the half-life config.
I was looking at the "weapons" tutorial and was lookin at the entities for them and noticed some OpFrc weapons in them but not all...when you run a map under OpFrc do they convert the entities over to an equivialnt for OpFrc...like the hive hand turns to somethin else.. or do i need another fgd file to have all the correct stuff...Any help is appreciated as I mentioned Im new and am somewhat perplexed with this situation.
