Don't you mean a banner or something? :S
Or do you mean buttons for your menu

The bottom is a bit cut off. Also you should try aligning it better with the background.

Hint
The "it's your choice" Change the text-type and setup different colors for it, blue and black for TM doesn't really fit together..
Or, skit that page, and make it go for the main.php from the beginning.

Yes blue on black will show fine on an LCD screen, but it will blur on a CRT screen, making very hard to read.

It will blur? Your montior must suck.

I use an LCD so it shows up just fine. But people like Seventh who use CRT may have trouble seeing it, especially if the resolution is turned all the way up. (look at the thread for J3r3my's site and youll see what I mean)

I'm on a 19" TFT now ;>.

Blue on black is stupid. Never do it.

What about green text against black? How well does that work out? Thats basically what Ive got on my site now and was thinking of what I should use for my next site.

Blue on black looks crap in general. Green is better, unless it's dark or forrest-y green.

I use #00ff00 green on my current site.

That's probably alright, as long as it's a tubby font.

Ok I set up a lame test page, but tell me what you think of the color/font. Does it look cool or is it a total eyesore? http://www.half-lifelss.l2p.net/hrnygoat/index.htm

Dude, proofread? It's legible, but:
<a target="_blank" href="http://www.geocities.com/area51_hrnygoat>here
target="_blank" is, I believe, obsolescent.

The Green Colour could work, but try to go for something Clean, Fast, and neutral. Nothing too garish - people don't like burning eyes from websites. ;)

Odd, because target="_blank" was listed under XHTML. Never said anything about it being depreciated. If thats the case, what would be the appropriate alternative?

That's the word! Thanks.

That's what Andy said recently.

_blank is very much still an important atribute content... and has not been depreciated...

but i would take a look at this if i were you
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.broadcast-depth.com/main.php

plus you have some serious, and some minor coding errors.

oh, pointless intros and annoying background sounds that cannot be disabled/stopped are bad web design.. and i find them bloody irritating!! (but thats just me)
Posted 19 years ago2005-05-07 18:13:09 UTC Post #108122
There's no alternative to target="_blank" afaik, except using JS scripts.
Posted 19 years ago2005-05-08 00:40:45 UTC Post #108166
Only problem is that I dont know JS...yet. Ill have to study it. As for the coding errors, that page helps. I didnt realize what I forgot to put in.
