I am redesigning m0pX.net pretty much from scratch. You can view my progress at http://flabber.bounceme.net/~joe/site . I don't run my server 24/7 so I will take a screenshot soon so you can see it while I'm offline. Please give me suggestions/opinions please.

Very nice design, only bad thing, which I am sure you know, is that the page scrolls across a bit.

I liked the current one!

I actually really like the design.

According to MetalPig (on IRC), it works fine on Opera 7. Can anyone else confirm this? All KHTML browsers work fine too. And of course, Gecko based browsers! :)

Here's a reference rendering of the site:

Opera 8.0 and Opera 7.54 both display it like this. Chuck it on a proper server and I'll notify Opera ASA about it. Works a-okay in my strawberry Firefox 1.0.3.

The header is boring and pointless. Do something interesting with it.

Ok, I'm gonna FTP it to m0px.net so Opera can check it!

Very nice design, Imho. I especially like the rounded browsers (which don't work in opera, so ha!) and the minimalistic style.

It does scroll a bit, horizontally, in 1152x864.

Right, I think I've submitted it, but it doesn't appear to confirm it or anything, and I couldn't see anything containing the URL in my packet log. I'll assume it got there.

Ok, it's now working in Opera! I fixed a couple of things in the CSS which were also causing validation errors as well as Opera problems! New DNS up: http://h4x.myftp.org/~joe/site :)

now that its fixed, i love it.

"Server time is 6:42 PM GMT - You are using Opera on Windows - Processed in 1 milliseconds"

1. gives REAL time, and not that knockoff american stuff.
2. no mention of winblows! i'm impressed.
3. who needs grammar anyway?
Posted 19 years ago2005-05-24 14:13:38 UTC Post #110727
1. It's not 19:12 GMT, and your site says it is. We're GMT+1 in the summer.

2. "Existant" should be "existent".

3. Nice overall. Was the Opera problem a CSS mistake on your part, or Opera's fault? ;)

1. Fixed
2. Fixed
3. I did a couple of lines of bad code, and Opera didnt know how to take it. Firefox just ignored it.

Nice, but it reminds me of Freewebs for some reason. By the way, it still looks like Alex's screenie for me.

Not some manically-agressive caching there?

Does Master of Puppets own m0px.org?

^Stupid question, but I just wanted to check because a lot of people use m0px.net as a host.
Posted 19 years ago2005-05-25 12:35:48 UTC Post #110854
I own m0pX.net, yes. Ant, clear cache, Opera caches stylesheets.

We who use m0px accs just steal his space. He's a very kind man, if you just get past the elitistness.

Odd that it'd cache it, it was the first time I went there when I wrote that post. I'm looking at the version on the "m0px.net" host and it's still the same even after a refresh. I'm guessing you fixed it on your own host?

I fixed it on my own computer, the one on m0px.net is still broken.
