Ok, this happened today, when I just got an steam update.
I updated steam, played some CS.. blah blah blah, loged out from my Xp account = loged out from steam too, later, I loged in again, started source SDK, SDK updated itself,, and then, when I tried to open hammer, I got this error:
Fatal Error
Can't find steam app user info
What is going on?
Steam stops me from making maps! O.o
Do you know how to fix this? Please help me. =)
(searched the forums and didn't find anything)
Steam update = hammer goes nuts!

Delete the clientregistry.blob file after backing it up. Steam will make a new one and should reconfig the user settings.

Very strange,, today, all of my settnings came back, and hammer works again!
