Right, I've mapped for HL1 but do I need any more editord for HL2... If so which ones (and can anyone provide links to them ;)..

To map for HL2 all you need is Hammer 4.0 (The latest one)
If you use Steam then you should have an application called SDK. It should be in the games list right at the bottom.

Mapping for HL2 is basically the same as HL1 but they're are a few extras such as cubemaps and the new trigger system.

Also new engine limits. The mapping is the same, but quality and limitations are really high.

O.K. This is gonna seem a dumb question, but WHERE can I get Hammer 4.0, I've looked everywhere for it but all I can find is 3.4 and lower .... Please help... :x

"Source SDK" on your Steam Games menu. Only way.

as they said, just check your steam games list for the source SDK. the greatest part is that you can't map for HL2 if you got it illegally. genius.
