Hey well ive been wanting to play half life on the internet but it always says i need an update but it cant find any. Also, I have steam but when i look for half life it isnt in the little box when i select play games, only gay games like hl2 demo and codename gordon ...lame~~lol
why cant i play my half life online like i used to?

You mean HL2 or HL1?

you have to register your HL1 cd key with steam. then it will copy all the files from your old directory to steam. and that should be the end of that program

Looks like you have not inputted your CD Key into steam yet.

Open Steam, Browse Games, click register a product I already own, and enter your CD Key.

thats exactly what i did but than it says its alwready registered so it wont do it again. Even if it alwready is registered than how come it isnt in the play games list. Im so confused, is there a way to unregister it so that i can redo it or what?

Well, did you register it to another account? If not, and assuming it's a legitimate key, e-mail Valve.
