When i try to run some maps they never seem to work, i thought this coukd be because there was no lighting or i never had ct and t and player_start spawn points but even when i do pout them in the maps never load up properly hammer loads up css and it then just goes to the main menu without running the map when i try to run the map on my server it does the same thing.

I also get this error:

The command failed. Windows reported the error:
"The system cannot find the file specified."

which may have something to do with the error i have above please help me clever people. Thank You

What is the problem for the first question, all you say is "never seem to work". What is happerning. Is everything dark? Are you stuck in the floor?
Can you even startup Halflife? Please say more about the problem.

About the 2nd problem, In the options menu, is the RMF directory correct? Are you saving the RMF's in that directory?

Make sure you put the BSP(or what ever file Hl2 uses) in the right folder! Well if that's not it than I can't help you for I'm a Hl1 mapper!

Erm this is confuseing

i make some maps which do work so whatever this RMF is it must be right in some cases mustent it?

Doesn't Hl2 uses a VMF for I heard something like that! :confused:

First of all, don't put spaces in your map names. Use an underscore.
Secondly:
Entity light_environment (2222.00 -2748.00 836.00) leaked!
Your light_environment is in the void. Bring it in, or delete it. You've not fixed your CONTENTS_SOLID error either.

The reason is because it will search for the first word only and that doesn't exist so it will say OMG MAP DOESN'T EXIST WOOT!
