You can play HL1 in 3rd person--Singleplayer or sv_cheats enable servers only--by simply typing chase_active 1 in the console?

Also, I really wouldn't call twhl a country, much less a man's country. And i was pointing out the uslessness of the crowbar in half-life, have you ever played multiplayer? All the guns can usually get one hit kills, or do a vast amount of damage, besides the crowbar and pistol. Play cross-fire and you will see what i mean, ther are two rocket launchers(unless you are retarted should give you a one hit kill, they move with your mouse) the gluon gun(less than five seconds should kill someone) Beam gun(power it up) Crossbow(secondary fire) mp5's (gernade), the revolver(which is powerfull with the secondary scope) shotgun (2-3 hit kill, one if close enough) and the snarks, which will destract the people while the flesh eating bugger explode. But fine, use the crowbar if you want, stand there for fifteen seconds hitting me, while I fire my rocket/gernade/gluon gun charging up my gauss cannon scoping with my crossbow/magnum, or double blasting you with my shot-gun. Seriously, take something from consoles(or at least halo) have a melee. I just don't like the fanboys with their crowbar, or even with the pistol in halo, thinking it is the best thing on the Earth

dusty's got a point....sorta crowbars are usless in multiplayer, i almost never use it, unless some freshman sees us playin HL over the schools LAN in the library and says "that game looks cool, can i play?" then whe jus beat the $h!+ outa him with it. other than that the only use it has is for killing headcrabs and breaking vent ducts, or hitting zombies to save ammo.

I think the crowbar has a point.
Say if you manage to come up behind someone who is say scope in crossbow, and not moving, thwack thwack dead.

Crowbar is powerfull but it's close range makes it almost useless in dm for you'll be slayed in moments!

Didn't know the thirdperson thing... When I used thirdperson in hl2 - gordon looked untextured and smoothshaded.

yes i never use grenades because it takes too long to swhich, i only use em if im playin with god mode on wen im taking screenies
