Hi all, don't be angry, I'm new to CS:CZ ;)

My question is - how to organize a LAN multiplayer game in CS:CZ?

With "regular" CS, one of the players uses NEW GAME in the menu to create a server, others use FIND SERVER to connect to it via LAN.

In CS:CZ (if you run it with -game czero), you can play CS map campaign with bots, or you can create a CUSTOM GAME, that is a server?

How other LAN player can connect to it?

Well that were 2 useless replies. :zonked:

But to be honest, I got now idea

Why would you like to know anyway?
  • CS sucks.
  • CS:S sucks
  • CS:CZ sucks

I disagree on CSCZ suckage, coz I've never played it. Anywho, Andy - I think that CSCZ is a SP only mod.. For multiplayer - play CS... :)

Wrong, you can.
Try creating a custom game.

And there's two version of cz included, one multiplayer only (i think)

Hi, Andy! I was wondering where you were earlier :).

I was under the impression that CS:CZ multiplayer is just CS 1.6... I read it somewhere. Could have been a forum, though.

Hi Seventh-Monkey, I was not here before :))

It seems you're right. In CS:CZ, there are 3 games (in folders CZEROR, CZERO and CSTRIKE). First is SP campaing, the latter is CS 1.6, and CZERO is a game where you can create a custom game and play some CS maps as MP with built-in bots. I was wondering if it is possible to connect several human players to this game, and I did not find if it was possible

Also, I wondered if it was possible to run CSTRIKE game from CS:CZ to play CS 1.6 MP game, because when I dun "czero.exe -game cstrike", it crashes as soon as I create a game.

P. S. I wanted to try CSTRIKE game within CS:CZ to see if it is possible to use CS:CZ bots there.

CSTRIKE doesn't work in CZ, I bet.
I think the CSTRIKE folder is there only because CZ first was based on the CS code, and it still borrows code from the old CS script and source.. I'm not sure though.
Easy to figgure out if you open the folder, if there are as much files in there as there is in the original CS 1.6, then, it should work, if it's now as many files, then it is just a borrowed source so it will not work.

Not sure but, I think so.

Start a mp game, and then try the sv_lan 1 command, then it should be visible on your lan.

Otherwise download the dedicated server from your steam list and use that on your computer with lan enabled, you can join it from your own computer by typing in your IP under favorites. Thats how i always run my server for internet.

try having an extra pc with a dedicated lan server set up on it ?
or just do new game and it should apear if you switch of sv_lan 1 or so.

( it will enable internet players to join , but if you jsut password it after everyone is in no-one will join it :) )
