So heres the question:

Would you like to work at Black Mesa if you were a scientist, and if you would, what would you do there?

Imo, it would be kinda interesting to work there.. Especially if you'd get paid well. I'd like to work with wpns research or teleportation testing.

How bout you?

I'd personally like to be a scientist there, like maybe robotics research or something (that crate-welding robot had to come from somewhere. You can't just mass-produce something like that.)

I wouldn't like to work at Black Mesa for some reasons:
-Being in the middle of the desert.
-A huge percentage of the facility is underground. It means working with artificial light the whole day.
-Working there would involve keeping your mouth shut about almost everything, meaning you couldnt talk about your work with family etc.
-I would look just like every 1 out of 4 scientists.

I wouldn't.

First of all, I never found any place that actually sells beer.

Secondly, and most importantly, there are no women at Black Mesa (except for that hologram girl). That's a major flaw in the work place.

I thinking about a mod which would add more variation to the personell at Black Mesa. Like more sci heads, and female scis and Barneys (like in Azure Sheep ala Barnita). And there would be different Barneys as well, rather than the same one who keeps offering you beers.

Someone should do that. That would be cool.

mabye being rozenburg for blue shift would be good the only different scientist

There's just one problem with that: I don't have HL2, and don't plan to buy it because a. my computer sucks and b. it would only load if Steam could gain access to the internet to verify my copy. My own computer doesn't connect to the internet. :

That's sad. DT looked like a cool mod.

You know what we should do? Make a mod called something like "Black Mesa Personell" that contains just race and gender variations on the scis and barneys, for HL1. Make it like a collaborative TWHL effort. I can do some skinning, although I've only dabbled in it once.

Its based off a real laboratory in New Mexico that is underground, and has a tram system similar to the game. Its obviously not as big, as something like that would take way too long to build... After they finally finished they would have to redo it for new technology.
