I have a Sendo SV663 phone that came with the simcard. now, my friend gave me his old Motarola C975, which is for the network "3 mobile". Now, my Sendo SV663 phone's simcard is for the network "Vodaphone". Now, when I put my Vodaphone sim card into the Motarola C975, it said "Enter Subsidy password". What does this mean? Will the Simcard work with the 3 network?

Well it's simple. Your phone is tied to Vodaphone and doesn't accept a card from a different network. In different words: It won't work with the other SIM.
Although the phones can be un-tied for a cheap amount of cash, if you find the right place.. :)

Same thing. No difference bout the phone. If it's tied, you can either keep your 3 card or find the software and remove it.

It's referred to as 'locked' in England.

yeah same in scotland... even corner shops will unlock your phone for ?15 or so. this is a complete rip off but it works. Proffesional phone shops normally do it for ?5 but they keep it for a number of days (interesting considering the guys in the small shops do it in less than 20 seconds)
