Hurgh used to make me shiver for some reason...

Another time I got scared was while playing Zelda: Majora's Mask because it had a forest dungeon with a pitch black room and I used to get so scared of it as all these flying black faces flew around...

You realise I was only around 9-10 so what games scared you when you were a kid? It was mostly N64 games for me but I do remember playing Silent Hill on PS1 and just exploded with fear.

Doom1- When I first saw the cyberdemon! Boy he's big...
Doom2- When suddeny I heard a archvile, they roar quite loadly.

Castle wofenstein3D- I once played in extention of that nice game(don't remember the game, the splash screen(first screen) had a red tower in a rainy night in it) it was a horrible extention for it was full of mazes, and I can't stand mazes.(they just placed them in there because they had nothing else to do) I was suddenly scared when I found out I'm lost and that I wont leave one of the mazes as soon as I hoped. :P

Games that aren't from first person view don't scare me.
Catacombs
Was that a first person shooter game? If so you might be talking about the first one. I think it's called catacomb rider.

The last level of Spear of Destiny freaked me out a little bit when I was a wee lad. The Statue level in Goldeneye 64 was pretty weird too.
For some reason I am thinking about that old game "Bio Menace" right now, a Duke Nukem-esque style sidescroller game that freakin' rocked. Though I'm sure if I went back and played it now I would probably find it cheesy and boring. Too bad, back to Half Life.

I thought that Blood was scary, along with the original quake. Clive Barker's undying was pretty scary too.

They Hunger is not scary. The last stage of Spear of Destiny was back in the day, blasting Nazi's then suddenly your up against ghosts and the 'angel of darkness'...

Quake2 had many scary bits in it. I was always afraid of the mutants...

Now I call each game that was before Hl1 old. It changed games for ever, and I think that it changed them in a bad way.

SUPER METROID

The part where you push that miniboss of the Norfair area back into the acid lava and it's skin melts off as it screams. Then it crawls out as a skeleton and just falls over beside you. That freaked me for a while and now it's my favorite game.

Playing HL for the first time was rather freaky to, i might as well say.

The first FPS I've ever played was Heretic and it was somehow thrilling. Especially those areas where you pick up a key in a small room and it suddenly becomes dark and monsters appear out of nowhere! And there where also some levels where nothing happens for ages then you hear running footsteps behind you and you almost break your keyboard trying to turn back fast enought or evil laughter sounds in the distance and you totally freak out!...

Return to Castle Wolfenstein also had some moments that made me jump up in my chair, but that was mainly due to enemies jumping onto you while you aren't expecting them (those legless dudes with electricity up their asses were pretty annoying).

I remember some other games that made me feel just plain bad, like something creepy, but I can't name any at the moment.

I remember back in the SNES days. I played Blaster Master when i was about 6. I had a nightmare about one of those floating head thingys. And i NEVER liked those floating head things from doom (Elon's avatar)
Maybe i dont like floating heads..

thinks of the OTHER floating heads from doom.

And the ones from Zelda:OOT.
