I've been re-texturing this map for about an hour now. And is there an easier way to re-texture maps from half life1 to source??

other than sselecting the brush and applying them individually?

Well do you mean making them all nodraw so you can texture them? Just select all with the move tooland hit enter, then texture it to nodraw in Texture Application. But if that is not what you mean, then no I don't think there is a faster way, I mean it can't texture itself.

Use the "Replace" option in the texture bar. It would be wise to make a list of the HL1 textures the map had, and change them to something in HL2 that looks alike.

I tried this and gave up cause the texture scale is different...

Tip: Select multiple walls etc and apply material to save time.

In a way this is what mapping is about...There is no shortcuts and it involves quite some time...Just sit back and enjoy...Have a cup of tea and listen to some music.

How about making the scale be the same?
Select every brush and change the scale from X=1.00 Y=1.00 to X=0.25 Y=0.25 and then start changing textures with the Replace tool. I've done this process several times and it's quite faster than individually changing every face.

i found it much more fun to spend a while completely recreating one of my maps along the same theme
