If you aren't familiar with IRC, it is an Internet Relay Chat network, where you can connect, and chat with people who have similar interests.

If you use the Opera Web Browser, you have a built in IRC client, consult Opera help for information on using, and configuring your client.
If you dont use Opera, go to MIRC's Main Page and download their free IRC client. It says it expires in 30 days, but you can still use it after the trial period!

Also, Firefox has a plugin for irc as well. It's called Chatzilla.

I would be on IRC if my computer were alive, this computer doesnt have IRC and I am reluctant to install it onto it.

I don't go cause I just don't like IRC...I can never tell who is talking to who..So many people and connecting is so weird...

Also, why not install Mirc, it is 6 mb with my log files saved in it, it wont fill your HDD
IRC is not evil, it is a great place for people interested in Half-Life mapping to chat.

MSN is the one with weird connection Habboi, it constantly has connection errors for numerous users. IRC is simple, especially with Opera's built in support, which i love.
