Maybe God created the cells for evolution to occur. MAybe adam and eve story is a metaphor to show the development of man. "Took him from the earth" Refers to cells from the earth evolving? Maybe metaphors were used because people all over time cannot conceive the idea of cells until now...... The bible was written without the concept of time. Perhaps the metaphor such as Adam and Eve was written without the concept of time. The firery gates which lock up the Garden of eden. Maybe that means the proto plasmic pool from which we evolved is buried under a volcano? Think about that............

Well SOMETHING had to cause the big bang. Because as madcow says in his "the universe itself" post: "There's no such thing and nothing." And for every action, there is and equal and opposite reaction, so some ACTION had to cause the big bang as a reaction. and without the universe coming into being, how would ANY animal be here? You cannot give me an example of Nothing.

I believe in evolution and all of that, but our human-self design is too different from everything else. If we came from monkeys, why are we so much taller than them, and wouldn't our relatives evolve at some sort of similar rate. I think we were placed here by aliens.

I recon that the bible was originally not meant to be taken so literally, but to illistrate something that could not be explained directly, like a higher power or God?

I don't necasserally think so, if you take the Infinity of space, over an Infinity of time, something will happen sooner or later.

Well, Einsteins whole proposals and his unfinished theroy of everything was to prove gods will of the world. He believed that anything was predictable, and nothing was random. His theroy of everything was to read gods mind. He died before finishing it.

Its amazing how we know how our brain works, what all the nerves do, but we cannot explain consciousness. It shows that humans are more than the sum of their parts. There is something else not yet explained. Something we don?t know. Humans always fear what they do not understand?..

I don?t know what I exactly believe, but I do think the Bible is a giant metaphor that covers up the science of creation. Think that there is no concept of time to god. Most stories could represent his hand in creating the cells of evolution. It could have been made to appeal to the majority of people ignorant to cells, espically before our time today, which in comparison is a short period of time compared to the rest of time. Hence my refrence of no concept of time.

Its always good to consider both options. Its hard to make a final decision, but taking a look at all the options doesnt hurt. Philosophy in my opionion teaches more than religion. (Even though some philosophy is religious)

Anime is so crap! It gives the illusion of good animation and skill, but in fact it repeats animations, has MANY flashbacks, and has 10 minute talking sessions with a head still, and a mouth just doing 2 animations. Open and closed. Anime is crap.
