no you can't do squares in halflife, no single plane objects can exist

What's the point with this topic?

actually, you can make squares in hl - just cover 7 sides in null and leave one side.. which will be - a square
Posted 20 years ago2004-03-01 21:55:51 UTC Post #18056
that isn't a square you muppet, thats just a box where you can't see the other sides. For all intents and purposes it will LOOK like a square, but it isnt a flat plane (you cant use that effect to create a solid flat 2-sided plane)

who cares.. this post is bollocks and i'm surprised you didn't notice the mistake in my post - a cube does not have 8 sides :zonked:

its 6 .. so you'd cover 5 with null

Posted 20 years ago2004-03-03 15:44:02 UTC Post #18176
Talking about cubes, some ridiculous bloke submitted a cube as a prefab down at prefabland...

It was a comment on the quality of prefabs I believe.

i cna see the point of having a cube as a prefab. very handy to put in a cube quik, would make mapping so much easier of you could put in such a complex shape so quik

Cube prefabs, for example special crates and boxes.
Posted 20 years ago2004-03-04 12:28:47 UTC Post #18263
Yeah but you MISSED the point. WHY would anyone be foolish enough to go through the hasstle just to post a cube that uses the sky texture on it when the same can be done much more e........ I don't think I should even going to bother explain.
