I'm having trouble finding a good application that I can open an .MPEG2 File in, edit it (ie, cut on sections such as adverts) then save it again, but without having to re-compile it, or compress it.
I have a TV-capture card, which the videos I record I want 'perfect!'
So far, I've only come across two that could even be considered -
Able MPEG-VCR
Womble MPEG Editor
I have installed and tried both, however MPEG-VCR is extremely limited and Womble increases file size dramatically, and takes ages to save....
I 'edited' a 500mb MPEG2 file, saved it as the same format, and it was shorter, and it came out at 2.5GB!!!!!!
ABLE MPEG-VCR doesn't give you enough editing capabilities....
So, does any1 know of a good editing program, ....... not the usual sort, that doesn't take 4 hours to compile a damn 30min. clip, and won't end up bigger!!! I don't understand why the file should be sooo much larger, when I have cut the adverts already!!!
Tah muchly!
PS... btw, thanks every1 for all your help with my computer problems, its now running completely stable!
