How do I update my firmware on my Linksys router. The model no. is WRT54GS. I don't have any experience with this, so I need some help.

you need to log onto the firewall... by typing its IP address into your explorer. Probably like 192.168.2.1 or something similar.

Then on the menu there should be an option for Router settings, or it could be under Advanced settings. I have also seen this option under Router Maintanece (spl.?) before. You should be redirected auto. when you find the option.

Otherwise, try Linksys website, and do a product search, then go to help & support. It could be classed as a driver on the website. Then download, and on your router settings, page, select update firmware, and locate file on your computer.

Hope this helps

I have an update firmware in my router settings. When I click it, I get a search box that asks me to search for a file to upgrade. Will the file be on my PC, or all of them, or only one that it was first set up on?

EDIT: Never mind, I did it. I needed to go to the site, download the update, then browse for it in the router settings. :)
