Hey guys, ifirst i'd like to say this site rocks since it helps me a lot with my map mapping and theres good examples. Ok i made a map and iots similar to ak-colt.
Problem 1: Everyone can buy weapons and use the buy menu but i set the map perimeters and put it so no one can but every one can still.

Problem 2: i have a dedicated server and when i host it with amx 1.76a, and put it to my lvl i get the error office.wad not found when i never used anything from that wad. and the best way to fix that is probably find a way to let people dl that but i dont knwo how.

Problem 3. Outside my map if u try to get out and u do i put a block and set it as green water and put it to hurt people when they touch it. Doesn't work.

Please help me and tell me if theres a certain folder u have to put files in or if u have to set the map to a certain game type first... thxz

Well I don't really map for HL1, but for your first problem, don't you have to put func_buyzones to buy things? I know you do that in CS:Source. If so, just delete them.

For your second problem, I am not sure, my server is hosted by someone else, I pay monthly for it. So I can't really help you there.

For your third problem, I don't map for HL so I can't help you there either. Sorry.

1. Sometimes in the first round (if your testing straight from the editor) it makes it buyable. Also try placing a buy zone where NO ONE can get it (and try setting that buyzone so that both players can purchase from it, that way with the map paremiters [sp] set, they should not be able to buy).

2. Try removing the wad from your hammer config, save your map, compile, ect. and don't put it back in unless you need it.

3. Try using a trigger hurt, thats more effiecient, or just make it so they CAN'T leave your map...

Never put wads in Hammer that your not going to use. Even if you don't use a single text, you'll still need it to play the map.

OK i fixed #1 by puting a buy zone but really far from everyone. SO thanks for that.

#3 i just made it a reaolly high drop if u jump out.

i still ahve problem 2 though, i deleted the wad office, bnow i get the problem that shoohosue wad cant open, so i delete that one, but now i always see that message.now what?
