Ok I went online and Downloaded debian,(its a linux distro) burned to a cd, installed it and all is said and done right? WRONG! i created/mounted a linux partition also when i installed linux.I am also running Windows XP and it boots VEERY SLOW,i mean not a little slower than normal I mean like running Win XP on a old p-1 66mhz (thats real slow), so I tried re writing the master boot record but no luck it still boots very slow and i cant format the partition because it wont recognize my floppy drive!!!!!!! i also changed the Linux parition to win95 fat32 but still no luck. You should always use a second HDD for dual-booting. I know from experience. On my old T'Bird Athlon, I decided to install Linux, on a second disk! It was fine! I installed it on another computer on the same disk and S L O W!!!
