When i compiled my map with HDR settings, all my lights are wierd looking. There's a spotlight in a cave and when the light hits the generator its completley white, and in dark areas my fingernails glow white and my glock (or any gun) is sort of a greenish tint to it.

Did i forget something because i dont want to mess with stuff the HDR compile takes too long to really mess with.

Hmm.... was it a fast or full compile? Does the same problem occur w/ LDR? I think the shiny nails are a result of a cubemap not being in the dark area you're currently in, so try placing one in the dark area.

That's all I can think of right now...

Ok i placed a cube map in every room and every dark hallway.
I'm still getting the glossy fingernails nd the glowing generator effects. Here are some screenshots of my problems.

The generator looks horrible!!

I placed cubemaps in both areas but i didnt select the faces for the cubemap.. Is that necessary??

No. After you build the cubemaps, try loading the map again or changing the console parameter "mat_bumpmap" from "0" to "1" a couple of times. It should work, because I had he same problem in some maps and it fixed it.

K i reloaded the map after i built the cubemaps, but i'll go try the bumpmap thing. I'll let you know. Brb
