Maybe this question has been asked before (I think it was) but I'm always having trouble searching for things in this forum so I'll just make a new thread...

Anyways.

I wonder if it somehow is possible to make an NPC fire at a specific target.
And then I do not mean making an easy setup like putting an inviseble enemy there, but some way wich allows me to use info_target or some other entity.
It would help if the target was mobile - being able to move from side to side etc..

Possible/not possible?
If you know how - please tell me.

Edit:
I just remembered - there is a scene in Dayhard (the source mod) where an NPC fires directly into the air - so it is possible, but still I can't figgure out how.

Well I'm not entirely sure but I assume it is info_target and perhaps you just tell it to target the NPC's name. That or parent it?

You can find these answers on Interlopers search function because they have a wider knowledge.

Edit I Reckon So, I saw one of those in that scene where the NPC man attacks the man-hacks with a lead pipe...

npc_bullseye worked fine - but you had to create an ai_relationship and make the NPC you want to shoot hate the npc_bullseye.
And you can hear when the npc_bullseye gets hit.

Is that a bad thing? Just replace the sounds with emptyness then.

And I can't make the npc_bullseye non-solid because then it won't die

Just tell me what you are fully planning to use this for because as far as I can understand you want an NPC to shoot a moving target...Now what did ya expect? That shooting at something doesn't make sounds? Now that makes no sense so clearly I don't understand what you are needing so explain fully please.
