Hey twhl dwellers! Lately ive been toying with the idea of making a map with the theme being the inside of my computer... im just looking for some input and maybe suggestions on how to make the terrain more interesting (for instance, pieces of hardware players can use for cover etc...) and i was also wondering if this theme has been done before. Cuz if it has been done before i dont see much point in making something that will be accused of being generic or a rip off...

I could see this being done actually. With some little changes and a lot of creativity. If I did it, I would turn it sideways. You could exaggerate or invent or move hardware to make a more interesting and balanced field, no one knows that its not EXACTLY like the inside of your computer, and no one would care either.

Well there are loads of rats levels out there, and i've actually thouht of this idea, but didnt do anything about it.

I wanted to make a Sven Co-op map battling the machine enemies inside a computer, obviously, a virus has ridden your system to a pile of shit.

I believe cs_mice had a PC you could enter, but it wasn't the whole level. Also, The Hunter, a TWHLer made a HLDM map inside of a computer, here

mine was shockingly bad. made in about 3 days and severely lacking detail.

i think theres a map called de_desktop and if i remember correctly you can go inside the tower

who cares if its been done before? just make it better than any previous versions and youll be fine

There's a guy on Interlopers who made a very detailed brush GFX card and a Processor etc...Just a suggestion that if you 'do' it then make them very detailed with seperate brushes for knobs and such.
